And that’s all of them. Thanks to the many varied authors who applied this year and took the time to fill out our zany application.

I do want to say something about one of the questions on the application. You’ll notice in these posts that I’ve liked to the blogs of a few of the authors. Those are the only authors who applied to BSP in 2011 who have blogs. I’d say about a tenth of them overall have blogs. Writers, if you’re serious about being published authors, you need to start a blog. Today. Facebook is great, but everyone’s page on Facebook looks the same. Your blog should exude…you. This is how you build a fanbase.

If you don’t know how to start a blog, read this. You can have your blog up and running for free in 5 minutes. That’s the easy part. The hard part is sticking with it and writing on a regular basis and creating conversation instead of just keeping an online diary. If you have any questions, contact us. We’re here to help.
